Exeger is a Swedish technology company founded in 2009 with the vision of creating solar cell technology that can be integrated into everyday products and contribute to increased sustainability and energy savings. The company's trade name, Powerfoyle, is a patented solar cell solution that converts both indoor and outdoor light into electricity and is designed to be integrated into, for example, headphones, sensors and other consumer products.
Innovation, production, market and cooperation
Powerfoyle is based on advanced technology with very low resistance in the conductive layer, which enables larger and flexible solar cell area without the need for typical current collectors that conventional solar cells require. The company has its main operations in Stockholm, where it has established industrial production with two factories that will be able to supply millions of square meters of solar cell material.
Exeger works with several global partners in different segments of products; consumer electronics, IoT devices and security products. For example, Powerfoyle is used in headphones, speakers, smart helmets and electronic shelf labels (ESL) for retail. The company has stated an ambition for the technology to ”touch the lives of a billion people by 2030”.
